How Often Should You Deep Clean Your Home?
A regular tidy keeps things presentable, but grime still builds up in places you rarely reach. Here's a realistic deep-cleaning rhythm.
The general rule
For most homes, a full deep clean every 3–6 months keeps built-up grime under control — more often for larger households, pets or allergy sufferers.
By area
- Kitchen appliances: every 3 months (oven, extractor, fridge)
- Bathrooms (descaling): every 1–2 months
- Carpets & upholstery: every 6–12 months
- Windows, skirting, behind furniture: every 3–4 months
Keeping effort low between deep cleans
A consistent regular clean makes deep cleans faster and cheaper — because grime never gets the chance to set in. Many Taskrs clients pair a one-off deep clean to reset the home, then a fortnightly regular visit to maintain it.
